Small Group Catalog
Winter Semester 2012
The Imperfect Rising
Sundays, 8:00 AM-9:30 AM beginning January 22, 2012
Leader: Gary Bethel
Location: Saint Andrew's
In this Discussion Group we are going to look at the Baptismal Covenant from the perspective of our own imperfection. In almost every case, the only really unique gift we have to give to God is our own individual imperfection. The idea of a re-birth or a new beginning as represented by the Baptismal Covenant will be explored in not only biblical terms but Spiritual as well. We will be drawing from not only the BOCP but also outside resources such as books titled: “The Spirituality of Imperfection” and “The 12 Steps for Christians”. We will find that Man’s (and yes, Woman’s) journey to Wellness is traveled by all faiths and all generations and see the similarities in our search for God in light of our human frailties.
